A walk in the park.

Hi everybody!!

If you're reading this: cool! Nice that people are still checking out my captions! <3
It's been three weeks since I first uploaded again, and I'm pleasantly surprised by myself for continuing. It might not be a lot, but I was never one to crank them out insanely fast anyway. This is an art! An art I tell you!

This time I made a caption based on an idea that I had years ago. Writing down ideas is always a good idea. It's actually a set-up for a sequal captions which I'll be working on next. I've never attempted something like that, so let me know what you think!

The font I've used this time is slightly different as well. It's a bit more cutesey, but what was very notable for me while working on this was the amount of space between lines. It's larger than the line space of the previous font.

Anyways, I'd love to see some people leaving a message on these. Getting feedback does wonder to one's motivation, and it'll greatly increase the chance that more captions will be coming, so as one long-time lurker to the rest of the internet: Just do it! Interaction is fun! x3
Let me know which font y'all prefer as well! :)

Love,
Charlane

The biggest mistake to be maid.

Hello everyone, Charlane here!

I am sure most of you didn't expect to see me post a caption here again. Truthfully, neither did I. It has been almost five years since I last posted here. I was 19, an I am 24 now. That is such a long time that it's only logical I've grown as an individual, and no longer am the person who used to post here so long ago. That being said, I still love captions, continued lurking the past few years, and still hold onto a good portion of the preferences I used to have.

Whether I'll be posting any more is uncertain, but I just felt like making a caption for this extremely adorable drawing I had found. Took me quite a while to regain access to this blog. ^^''
I also gave it a cute little make-over. It's more pink now. <3

And with that; I hope you like my caption. ^^

[Blog] What I like about captions and how that affects me.

Hey everybody,

I didn't think I was ever gonna actually write bloggy thingies for this blog, I figured I'd just be using it to upload my captions, but right now I do have some things on my mind that I'd like to share.

First of all, I am just gonna speak my mind here, so if this is a tl;dr kind of thing, don't bother.
This is for the people who are actually interested in the way I think about these things.
Sorry if that sounded a bit mean.

Right. So, as I've said in my first post, and as you might have noticed, I don't post caption frequently. The reason for this is that I am a perfectionist. I want everything I make to show off to be good enough so people will like it, and I usually base what people will like on my own preferences.

See, there are some things in my head, some sort of guidelines you could call them even, that I always pay attention to when looking at a caption.

-The quality of the caption.
Just how well I think the caption is written and how well edited it is. You can usually see when somebody put a lot of time and effort into making it.

-The length of the caption.
I prefer captions of intermediate length. Short captions have usually less effort put into them, and extremely long captions usually lack the punch that medium length captions have.

-Whether the image and the text are worked into one caption-image.
I just like it way better if it's actually a caption, not just an image with some text above it. That's just not a caption in my eyes.

-The spelling and grammar.
..Yeah.. I know that's a bit mean to say, but like I said; I'm a perfectionist, and that includes being a bit grammar-nazi.

-Willing vs Forced  /  Magical vs Realistic
My favorite kind of captions are the ones involving humiliation and embarasment, but do so in a non-magical way. The idea of a guy being dressed up as a girl instead of magically turning into one by like a magical collar or a piece of candy just entertains me more.

-How well the story fits the image.

Now, those final two points bring me to a matter that is difficult for me.
As you might have noticed, the first 4 captions that I made, 3 of them involve young girls. (the third caption actually having a trap) I picked these images both because I think that theyre sexy/cute, but also because the girls in these captions often don't have things that exclude them from being the other gender.
The exception to this is the first one, where you can see Flandre's (or as the caption calls her ''Damian'') private area. I dislike this exception A LOT, because it contradicts with my last guideline; the image doesn't fit the text.

The difficult thing is that I have some completely, absolutely, postively AMAZING images that I would LOVE to use, but the problem is: They are images of girls where (like in my first caption) it is undeniable that the person is a girl. For example that the girl is wearing an outfit where you can see her (fairly large) breasts.

The only way I could make a story for that example would either be that the breasts are fake, which is fairly unlikely considering how they look, that they grew using hormones, which would be difficult because of how big they are; the person would have to be taking hormones for a really long time; thus limiting the amount of things I can use, and finally: magic.

So what I'm pondering about now is if I want to make an exception to my own preferences and try making a story where a guy does get turned into a girl using magic, or if I just want to write it like it's a guy and kinda ignore the obvious things that say otherwise, like in my first caption.

I'm really interested to hear the opinion of others about this, so.. If you would like to share yours, feel free to respond to this post, or if you don't like that you could also PM me. ^^''

Thanks for your time time,
-Charlane
